Audition Notice

Hale Centre Theatre is proud to announce auditions for Hale-erious Crew for 2026 Fall Semester. Auditions will be by video submission only and will be done via the link HERE (please no YouTube Shorts) and will be due by 10pm, Friday, August 7th, 2026.

The Hale-erious Crew - Inspired by Saturday Night Live and Studio C; HCT’s new Teen Sketch Comedy troupe, creating new sketches for showcases and online content all semester long. This troupe will be taught by Zac Zumbrunnen. Fee per semester for Hale-erious Crew is $300 (there will be a 10% discount for each additional child from the same family).

HCT is looking for creative and comedic young actors, ages 13-18 for our Hale-erious Crew. There is no fee to audition. Here are the requirements for the audition notice.

FOR YOUR VIDEO:
We would like you to slate (please introduce yourself by saying your name and the name of the piece you are performing) and then perform 30 seconds of a comedic monologue and 30 seconds of a comedic original piece. This could be a story or a monologue from a scene, but it should be one you have written. It should all be edited into one video that you submit. Please also film horizontally and submit through an unlisted YouTube link (please no YouTube shorts).

Hale-erious Crew will hold weekly rehearsals on Thursdays from 5-6:30pm beginning Thursday, September 3rd, 2026. They will have a showcase at HCT at the end of the semester. The Hale Centre Theatre Fall Showcase will be Thursday, November 5th.
