Audition Notice

Hale Centre Theatre is proud to announce auditions for HCT’s Premiere Broadway Teen Performance Group “BROADWAY STARS” for the 2026 Fall Semester. Broadway Stars Company can be found performing throughout the community, showcasing at Hale Centre Theatre, as well as workshopping at local universities. Auditions will be by video submission only and will be done via the link HERE (please no YouTube Shorts) and will be due by 10pm, Friday, August 7th, 2026. 

Suzy Cropper will be the director for this company. Fee per semester for BROADWAY STARS is $350 (there will be a 10% discount for each additional child from the same family). 

HCT is looking for Youth ages 13-18 for  BROADWAY STARS, our premiere musical theatre performing group for teens.

Here are the requirements for the audition notice and a message from your director. 

For your audition, please sing a Musical Theater song of your choice that is appropriate for your vocal range. Sing a 45-60 second cut that shows your voice well. No Acapella singing. Please slate at the beginning of your video with your name, age and song title, and show us your best stage presence with your song. We need all videos filmed horizontally and submitted through an unlisted YouTube link (please no YouTube shorts). If you place a vertical video first, YouTube will mark it as a YouTube Short and it makes it more difficult to watch your video!

You will also need to include the dance portion of the audition. Everyone auditioning must submit a dance video. Please submit both your singing and dance videos in one unlisted YouTube link.
 
BROADWAY STARS COMPANY will hold weekly rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4pm to 5:30pm beginning Tuesday, September 1st, 2026. They will have a showcase at HCT at the end of the semester. They will perform for Founder’s Club nights at HCT Dec 3rd-14th. They will also have the opportunity to attend workshops at local universities throughout the semester. They also will have Christmas performances throughout the community throughout November and December. Dates to be determined later. The Hale Centre Theatre Fall Showcase will be Thursday, November 12th 2026.
