Homeschool Theater
| Join us for an exciting 16-week journey into the world of theatre! This class is perfect for homeschool students eager to explore acting, singing, dancing, and the magic that happens behind the curtain. Students will learn the essentials of theatre, from stage movement and character-building to voice, diction, and even a taste of technical theatre. Through interactive activities, improvisation games, preparing a monologue and a short scene, students will develop confidence, communication skills, and their creative spark. We’ll explore what makes live theatre such a powerful form of storytelling. Along the way, we’ll visit the behind-the-scenes world of technical theatre, with opportunities to get a glimpse into the world of lighting, sound, props, projection, and the amazing moving stage at HCT. Meet some of the tech wizards who bring productions to life. The course wraps up with a special "Bring a Friend/Parent Day," where students will showcase their monologues and scenes in a fun, supportive performance. No prior experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to shine! |
