Audition Prep

 

Audition Prep - Singing Cuts

Instructor: DeLayne Dayton Read Instructor Bio
For students looking to get a leg up on their next audition and callback from an singing standpoint. Students will explore deeper emotional connection, acting and vocal technique, physicalization, and story-telling skills through song in this 4-day Acting Intensive. Students will need to bring their own songs to work on during this camp. They will perform in a recital at the end.

Tap I (Beginners)

Students will learn terminology, balance, rhythm, and basic tap steps that will result in a final showcase at the end of the week.

Tap II (Intermediate)

Students will take the next step after beginner’s terminology, balance, and steps to learn intermediate tap steps and technique that will result in a final showcase at the end. For students who already have a basic understanding of tap.

Tap III (Advanced)

For advanced tap students looking for a challenge and to take their skills to the professional level. Students will learn advanced tap steps and technique that will result in a final showcase at the end. Previous tap experience required.

Musical Theater Camps

 

Stage Ready (A Broadway Boot Camp)

Instructor: Bailee Morris, Delayne Dayton, & Alex King Read Instructor Bio
Students will receive instruction from guest artists on this intensive journey on the “highway” to performing on the Hale stage. Auditioning, singing, dancing, and acting master classes will be taught throughout the camp as well as Resume’ building and brand new headshots! Students will also prepare to perform in a showcase at the end of the camp.

Singing Camps

 
 

Youth Choir Camp

Instructor: Tanner DeHaan Read Instructor Bio
For youth interested in auditioning for the upcoming year of Hale’s youth show choir, Broadway Stars, this is a great way to get a leg up! Students will explore proper vocal production through the medium of Broadway style music with Broadway Stars Director, Tanner DeHaan. Kids will learn the foundations of breath support, tone quality, placement, range control, intonation, dynamics, basic music literacy and understanding, auditioning and presentation. The camp will perform a showcase at the end.
