Like the storytellers of old, The Story Weavers are a “troupe-in-a-trunk” group that specialize in moral-based story-teaching, encouraging students to open their imagination, to critically think about stories and characters, and to get up on their feet and join in the fun!

The Velveteen Rabbit

Bring the magic of imagination, friendship, and growing up to your students with a heartwarming theatrical retelling of The Velveteen Rabbit. This enchanting production brings the beloved classic to life through vibrant storytelling, memorable characters, and imaginative stagecraft that captivate young audiences while exploring timeless themes of love, belonging, and what it truly means to be “real.”

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Step into a world of magic, mischief, and imagination with an exciting theatrical adaptation of The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Filled with humor, fast-paced storytelling, and theatrical wonder, this engaging production invites students on a spellbinding adventure where one apprentice discovers that a little magic can quickly spiral out of control. Perfect for school audiences, the show encourages creativity, critical thinking, and lively discussions about responsibility, courage, and the power of learning.

Suggested for grades: 3 - 6
 
 

The Story Weavers Workshop


Looking for an interactive workshop to get your students on their feet and learning how to be better performers, storytellers, presenters, and gain self-confidence? The Story Weavers are now booking hour-long workshops for small groups of 40 or less, where students will learn how to make characters, build scenes, and tell stories through their voices, their emotions, and their movements.

Suggested for Grades 6-12

Showtimes start between 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.

The Story Weavers are unavailable on all major Federal and State Holidays.

Story Weavers at your school

 
  • The Story Weavers travel to your school.
  • Performances can be flexible to your space and group like a classroom, gymnasium, cafeteria, courtyard, etc
  • Includes a 30-minute presentation and a short Q&A with the actors.
  • Total program length: Approximately 45 minutes
  • Cost:
$250 within a 50-mile radius of HCT.**
Additional $100 for every additional 50 miles traveled.
$50 off second show if booked for same day
 
 
 

Story Weavers at Hale Centre Theatre

 
  • Bring your students on a field trip to Hale Centre Theatre for an immersive experience with the Story Weavers.
  • Includes a 30-minute presentation and a short Q&A with the actors.
  • A behind-the-scenes tour of HCT with the Story Weavers as your guide.
  • Total experience length: Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • Cost:
$250 for up to 120 students.**
