Hale Centre Theatre is pleased to announce auditions for their upcoming Youth Theatre Performance of The Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical 60-Minute Version.  Auditions will be by video submission and will be via the following link HERE . Please have your video ready BEFORE you sign up. All video submissions are due by Friday, May 2nd, 2025 at 10pm.

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical 60-Minute Version is based on The Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series by Jeff Kinney and 20th Century Studios. Middle school, ugh. It’s the worst. But Greg is determined not to be at the bottom of the popularity chart. He’ll leave that to his weird neighbor, Fregley. Or maybe Greg’s best friend, Rowley Jefferson. But it’s not going to be Greg…no way.

Jeff Kinney’s popular character takes center stage as Greg’s cartoon diary becomes a hilarious and heartfelt musical. Will Greg’s plans to become popular lead him to sacrifice his one true friend? Can anyone avoid the dreaded Cheese Touch? Grab a hall pass and don’t be late for an adventure familiar to anyone who actually survived middle school.

The Diary of a Wimpy Kid the Musical 60-Minute Version will be directed and choreographed by Brittni Smith, with music direction by David Smith.

All roles are open to ages 8-18 and we are looking for actors of all ethnicities.
