What is a sensory-friendly performance?
A special performance where members of our community that might have light and sound sensitivity, or a decreased ability to remain still or silent during a production are welcomed and can feel comfortable moving about or speaking aloud with other families and patrons who understand this need.
Sound levels for aggressive moments (such as thunderstorms or gunshots) will be reduced in volume and the overall show will play at a lower decibel level. The lights in the theater will never go completely dark and flashes such as lightning and strobes will not be used. Ushers will be available to assist families that need to step in and out of the theatre more frequently and all attendees will be aware that this might not be a silent audience.
