Bailee Johnson
Ellie Blake
  Bailee has performed previously at Hale Centre Theatre West Valley, Pioneer Theatre Company, and Hale Center Theater Orem. Her favorite film credits include Christmas Oranges, 127 Hours, byutv’s Extinct, and Hallmark’s Christmas Made to Order. She is a freshman at BYU in the MDT program and is so happy to be performing with her best friend/sister, Aimee. “My heart could explode!! This one goes out to my very own Katherine—my matchless mother. I’m your Ellie forever (whether you like it or not).   Although she’s new to our stage, Korianne comes with extensive experience: REGIONAL/TOURS—110 in the Shade (starring Audra McDonald), The Drummings, Les Miserables, Catch Me if You Can, Guys and Dolls, Ragtime, Elton John & Tim Rice's AIDA, The Secret Garden, Die Fledermaus, Carmen, The Mikado, Into the Woods, Little Shop of Horrors, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Funny Girl, Hula Hoop Sha Boop, The Wizard of Oz, Sweeney Todd, Kiss Me Kate, Lucky Stiff, and My Fair Lady. CONCERTS—One Nation, Les Miserables, Night on Broadway, Love is in the Air, A Lover’s Night of Broadway and Opera, Sing it Anyway, and Why We Tell the Story. FILM/TV—Singles Second Ward, Touched by an Angel, and Jonah and the Great Fish. She has a BFA in Music Dance Theater and an MM in Vocal performance from Brigham Young University. She is the Owner of KJVoicestudio, is Adjunct Faculty at BYU and UVU where she teaches private and group voice, and acting for singing. This fall, she will join the full-time music faculty at BYU as an Assistant Professor in Contemporary Voice. “Love to Kaleb and Reagan; thanks for letting your parents play this summer! And to Till-Roo…miss you every day!”

Toby Worland
Fletcher Blake
  Toby is excited to return to HCT for his second show. He made his debut last year as Pinocchio in My Son Pinocchio. Toby's acting career began with an IHC commercial at only 10 days old. A year later, he was cast in his first film Darling Companion, alongside Diane Keaton. He has since acquired a handful of other TV and stage credits and was recently featured in a couple music videos, including the promo video for the new Rise Up Children's Choir. This upcoming 4th grader is also an award-winning hip hop dancer, skilled gymnast, and talented artist. Toby gives a shout out to his awesome family, especially his twin brother Max. He dedicates all his performances to his brother Collin (10/14/98-11/2/11).

Neal Johnson
Mike Riley
  Neal was last seen at HCT in NEWSIES as Joseph Pulitzer. TOURS/ REGIONAL: Grease (Teen Angel), The Drummings (Father O’Grady), Hula Hoop (Paul), and Tapestry (YA Tours to Spain, Morocco, and Tunisia). Other favorite theatre credits include Sweeney Todd (ARTE), Funny Girl (Sundance), The Scarlet Pimpernel (HCTO), and The Fantasticks (Provo Theatre Company). “Much love to my beautiful wife, Korianne and our two kids, Kaleb and Reagan.


MaKenzie Belnap
  MaKenzie is returning to the Hale stage after finishing a stint on the Disney Cruise Line, where she performed as Mary Poppins and Mrs. Potts in their Main Stage Shows. Other credits include Had Matter in Wonderland at BYU, Mary Jane in Big River, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Pirate Queen, and GHOST: The Musical at Hale Centre Theater. MaKenzie has an Associate’s Degree from UVU in Theatre Performance, and is currently a full-time student at BYU in the same focus of study, and part-time tumbling instructor at Project Dance. “Have courage and be kind.”

Aimee Johnson
  Aimee was most recently seen as Winnie Foster in our production of Tuck Everlasting.  She previously performed on our West Valley stage in Oklahoma!, Les Miserables, Ragtime, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and A Christmas Carol. She was also seen in Jane Eyre at HCTO. She has also been in a number of films, including Little Women as Young Jo, He Knows My Name (Rebekah), and Singing with Angels (Young Ella). “I am so excited to be a part of this show!  I am grateful to the production team and my family for giving me this opportunity and to my family for their love and support.

Ally Choe
  Making her HCT debut with Freaky Friday, Ally was recently seen as Chloe in BYU’s production of Wonderland. She is a Music Dance Theatre major at Brigham Young University.

Zack Elzey
  Zack was most recently seen in The Wizard of Oz and as Bottom in our Youth Production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Past roles include Man in Chair in The Drowsy Chaperone at Lone Peak High School, Tim Allgood in Noises Off and Huckleberry Finn in Big River at the SCERA Center for the Arts, The Mute in The Fantasticks for Sundance Summer Theatre, Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors for Utah COPA, Baby John in West Side Story for Murray Arts Council and West Valley City Arts, and Saturninus in Titus Andronicus with Utah Valley Shakespeare Players.   Zack would like to thank Dave, Rodger, Kelly, Cory, and especially his mother Lisa along with his friends and family for all the support and love.

Natalie Regan

Savannah Sweetzer
  Not only is Natalie new to HCT, but she’s also new to Utah. At East Grand Rapids High School, she was seen in Grease, Guys and Dolls, and A Christmas Carol. She was also in Hairspray for Grand Rapids Civic Theatre. She is currently a freshman at the U in the musical theatre program. “Whatever is good for your soul. Do that.”

Brittany Bullen

  Brittany has been seen on our stage as Kala in Tarzan and Poor Wife/Belle in A Christmas Carol. She also appeared as Percy in The Spitfire Grill at the Grand Theatre and as the Sour Kangaroo in Seussical for the Egyptian Theatre Company. She has a BA in English-Writing from Denison University and is the Founder and Head Nerd at NerdyGirl.co. “We geek out about helping entrepreneurs sell more stuff. Nothing excellent was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”

Lori Rees
Woman 2
  Lori was last seen on our stage as Miss Shingle in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Aunt Alexandra in To Kill a Mockingbird and in the Ensemble of Les Miserables. Previous roles include Fosca in Passion and Marie Antoinette in Marie Antoinette at Good Company Theatre, Doralee Rhodes in 9 to 5, The Witch in Into the Woods, and Grandma in The Addams Family at Centerpoint Legacy Theatre. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Theatre from Weber State. “Thank you Dave, Jackson, and Matthew for constantly supporting and encouraging my passion.”

Julia Wihongi

  Julia is making her HCT debut with Freaky Friday. She played Ti Moune in Desert Star Youth Theatre’s production of Once on This Island, Gussie Carnegie in Pleasant Grove High School’s production of Merrily We Roll Along, and Belle in Midvale Main Street Theatre’s production of Beauty and the Beast Jr. “Don’t forget where you came from, but never lose sight of where you are going.”

Melissa Summers
Woman 4
  Melissa recently performed in our productions of NEWSIES, Tuck Everlasting and  Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She lists some of her other favorite roles as Athena in Troy: The Musical (BYU), Rosemary in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Center Point Legacy Theater), and Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. Melissa has also performed at Mack’s Inn Playhouse in Island Park, performed with the BYU Young Ambassadors, as a Young Performing Missionary in Nauvoo, Illinois, and as a Singer/Dancer at Lagoon Amusement Park. Melissa is currently studying Music Dance Theatre at BYU. “Much love to my incredible husband, Nick and our little puppy, Schmidt.”

Clin Eaton

  Little known fact: Freaky Friday is based on a real experience Clin had when he switched bodies for roughly 15 minutes with his optometrist.  Since Clin is an award-winning Drama Teacher at Riverton High School, the optometrist was startled to be directing the musical Catch Me If You Can while Clin did alright dilating patients pupils.  Clin was last seen at Hale Theatre in NEWSIES as Snyder. To Ellis, Millie and Jackie- stay in your own bodies please.

David K. Martin

  David is a very familiar face to the HCT crowd, having been seen as Angus Tuck in Tuck Everlasting, Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone, Kiwi in The Hasty Heart, Naphtali in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Psychiatrist in No Time For Sergeants, Leopard/ Clayton in Tarzan, Officer O’Hara in Arsenic and Old Lace, Kodaly in She Loves Me, Chicago in Is He Dead?, Hospital/Subway Ghost in Ghost: The Musical, Sebastian in The Little Mermaid, and as Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol. David has also performed at Gardner Village in Witchapalooza, and for the Utah Children’s Theater, Utah Repertory Theater, Rodger’s Memorial Theatre, Desert Star Playhouse, Kingsbury Hall, Capitol Theater, and Riverton Arts Council. Along with being a stay-at-home dad, David uses his Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Utah as the Founder and Director for BeatALS Benefit, a nonprofit organizations to fight ALS with rock and roll music. “Get back to where you once belonged.”

Rick Jones

  In addition to appearing as Mike/Morris Delancey in NEWSIES and Issachar in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with HCT, Rick played Huckle in Busytown at UCT, and has performed with the It’s Been a While Dance Group. He has a BS degree from the University of Utah and is happy to be on stage again with old and new friends. By day, Rick works as an illustrator along with his day job as an SAE at Womply. “Thank you to my amazing wife, Theora, who supports my love for art and performing.”

Gunnar Russell
Man 4
  Gunnar was recently seen in our production of NEWSIES as Crutchie and in The Pirates of Penzance as Frederic at Jordan High School. He was previously seen on the HCT stage as Young Diego in Zorro the Musical, Lil Gaspard in A Tale of Two Cities, and Fredrick in A Christmas Carol. Other roles include Gomez in The Addams Family, Tony in West Side Story, and The Minstrel in Once upon a Mattress at Jordan High School. Gunner will be graduating from Jordan High School this spring and will be attending BYU in their MDT program this fall. “Every day is like a new beginning. Every moment is a chance to choose.”

Jimmy Henderson

  Making his HCT debut, Jimmy was in dozens of productions at American Leadership Academy. His favorite roles were Sebastian in The little Mermaid, Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Dickon in The Secret Garden, Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps, Juror #3 in 12 Angry Men, and Truffaldino in The Servant of Two Masters. He is a freshman Music Dance Theatre major at BYU, where he also works in their Finance Office. He graduated from American Leadership Academy in Spanish Fork where he was heavily involved in competitive show choir, A Capella Choir, drama, and musical theatre. “What e’er thou art, act well thy part.”

Drew Francom

  Prior to his HCT debut as Tommy Boy in NEWSIES, Drew was seen as the Tin Man in Copper Mountain Middle School’s production of The Wizard of Oz and was recently part of the Ensemble for our production of An American in Paris and The Wizard of Oz. He also appeared in Sleeping Beauty and A Christmas Carol at HCTO and in Thriller with Odyssey Dance Theater. This senior in the dance program at Pioneer High School for the performing Arts has training in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, and Ballroom. He teaches Hip Hop and Clogging at Body Logic Dance Studio.

Aathaven Tharmarajah

  Freaky Friday marks Aathaven’s first performance with HCT. Previously he played Ren in Footloose (Ziegfeld Theater), Jean Valjean in Les Miserables (SVYT), as well as Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, Featured Dancer in Guys and Dolls, and Ensemble in Beauty and the Beast (American International School of Utah). He is currently pursuing a BFA degree in Musical Theatre with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Utah. “A huge thank you to my friends and family for all of their love and support!”
