David Weekes

Ebenezer Scrooge

David most recently played Gerard Carriere in our 2019 production of Phantom and Scrooge in our 2017 production of A Christmas Carol, but he is no stranger to our audiences. He also played Jacob/Potipher in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and served as Director of our 2016 Big River. David holds a BA in Theatre Arts/Education from USU and works for BP Dental in American Fork. “I am very grateful to Mark, Sally, John, Anne, and Amelia for this opportunity, and to Brenda and our children for their love and amazing support.”

Adam Dietlein

Charles Dickens/Scrooge's Nephew Fred

Adam Dietlein is thrilled to be returning to A Christmas Carol as Charles Dickens. Other HCT roles: An American In Paris (Henri Baurel), Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), Oklahoma! (Curly), Les Misérables (Javert), Brigadoon (Tommy), Tarzan (Kerchek), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! (Boris), Father of the Bride (Buckley), The Game's Afoot (Simon), My Fair Lady (Freddie), Tale of Two Cities (Ensemble), and Hello Dolly! (Ambrose). He is fresh from the Broadway stage where he played Nick in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.  Off-Broadway: Interview (Eugene Harper). 1st International Tour: Beauty and the Beast (Gaston). NYMF: Shelter (Joshua). Film: Ephraim’s Rescue, Jackie & Ryan. TV: Bull (CBS). Adam has a BS in Exercise Physiology from the University of Utah. Love to Callie and BookItScott.

Benjamin Oldroyd

BJ was recently seen as Grandpa Gordon in Freaky Friday and as Policeman in Wait Until Dark, both on our Jewel Box Stage. Other credits include Seitz in NEWSIES at HCTO, Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame at LHC, and The Ghost of Christmas Present in A Christmas Carol at HCTO. He is currently pursuing degrees in Business Management and Theater at UVU. “Thank you to the production staff for this wonderful opportunity. Kate Rufener

Mrs. Cratchit

Celebrating her 13th year in A Christmas Carol, Kate is excited to be back on the HCT Stage. Other favorite stage credits include: The Drowsy Chaperone (The Chaperone) at CenterPoint Legacy Theatre; Thoroughly Modern Millie (Muzzy Van Hossmere) with Sandy Arts. Kate works as a Productivity and Systems Consultant for small business owners. “Thank you to Brandon, Sully, and ‘The Guild’ for their love and support”.

Matt Kohler

Marley's Ghost/Undertaker/Ghost of Christmas Future

Most recently, Matt was seen as Jacob Marley/Undertaker in last season’s production of A Christmas Carol. Some of Matt’s other favorite productions that he has been a part of include Wait Until Dark, To Kill a Mockingbird, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Big Fish. Matt graduated from Utah State University in Theatre Arts and spends his days working for Solutionreach. “Happy wife, happy life.”

Mia Bagley

Ghost of Christmas Past/Turkey Boy

Mia has been seen on the HCT stage as Winnie Foster in Tuck Everlasting, Scout Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird, and a few years of A Christmas Carol. Mia has also been Anna in Frozen Jr., Anna in the Hallmark movie I’m Not Ready for Christmas and most recently Mia in Our House, a family sitcom on the Lemon Slices YouTube Channel. “Thanks to Lexi for helping me get my accent down.”


Ghost of Christmas Present/Old Joe/Poulterer

DRU has been performing with Hale Centre Theatre for 12 years and is very glad to be returning to the role of The Ghost of Christmas Present in A Christmas Carol. DRU has also had the privilege of appearing as The Governor in Man of La Mancha (CenterPoint Legacy Theatre), The Beast in Disney’s Beauty and The Beast (Herriman Arts Council), and The Plant (Audrey II) in Little Shop of Horrors (Sandy Arts Guild). When he’s not performing on stage, DRU works as a freelance artist and photographer. He would like to sincerely thank everyone who supports him in his endeavors.

David is a very familiar face to the HCT crowd, having been seen as Grandpa Gordon in Freaky Friday, Angus Tuck in Tuck Everlasting, Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone, Leopard/ Clayton in Tarzan, Officer O’Hara in Arsenic and Old Lace, Kodaly in She Loves Me, Hospital/Subway Ghost in GHOST: The Musical, Sebastian in Disney’s The Little Mermaid, and as Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol. Along with being a stay-at-home dad, David uses his Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Utah as the Founder/Director for BeatALS Benefit, a non-profit organization to fight ALS with rock and roll music.

Brett Myers

Making his HCT debut! Nashville, TN credits include Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour), Into the Woods (Baker), Catch Me If You Can (Hanratty), Spamalot (Patsy), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Panch), A Tuna Christmas (Arles), Noises Off (Garry), Macbeth (MacDuff), Angels In America (Joe), The Foreigner (Charlie). Brett holds an MA in Communications Sciences and Disorders from the University of Iowa and a PhD in Hearing and Speech from Vanderbilt University. He currently works as a speech-language pathologist at the U of U Voice Disorders Center and faculty in the U of U Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. “Thanks to my incredible family and friends for cheering me on from near and far.”

Brooklyn Kohler

Last seen on our stage in Steel Magnolias as Truvy Jones, Brooklynn is excited to play on our Jewel Box Stage once again. HCT audiences will also recognize her as Mrs. Fezziwig/Charwoman in A Christmas Carol 2018, Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Baroness in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Roz in 9 to 5: The Musical. She also performed in the national tour of Hairspray as Tracy Turnblad from 2006-2009. Brooklynn works for Peek Travel, along with being a mother of Ruby Rose, wife of Matt, Utah Jazz enthusiast, and a mediocre impersonator of Jennifer Coolidge. “A day wasted on others is not wasted on one’s self.” -Charles Dickens

Patrick Aloysius


Patrick is glad to be back at Hale Centre Theatre for the holiday season. Stage credits include A Christmas Carol (HCT), Mamma Mia (Sandy Arts Guild), and She Loves Me (OHPAA). He is a recent Coppers Hills High graduate and is currently attending the University of Utah, pursuing a degree in nursing. He works in carpentry for the estate home builder Magleby Construction. “Thank you to my family for all your support. Love you, Momma.”

Lauren Von Forell


Lauren was most recently seen in our production of The Addams Family. Previous HCT credits include as Majella in The Pirate Queen and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. She appeared in Tuacahn’s 2018 season as well as in The Addams Family and Jane Eyre at HCTO. She graduated from the MDT program at BYU in 2017. “Thank you to my wonderful husband, Michael and the rest of my family for continuously supporting and loving me.”

Benjamin Tate

Ben recently performed as Scrooge/Peter Cratchit in A Christmas Carol 2017 & 2018. He has also appeared as Hugo Jackson in Tuck Everlasting, Boy and Jethro Summers in The Heart of Robin Hood. Other favorite roles include Jack in Into the Woods (Bluffdale Arts Council), Gavroche in Les Misérables (Jordan High School). He also originated the role of Bud in Leave It in Writing (New Horizons). Ben’s favorite film role was ‘Young Kyle’ in the BYU Vocal Point music video I Lived. Taylor J. Smith

Recent HCT credits for Taylor include Lord Pinkleton in Cinderella, A Christmas Carol 2018, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Other roles include: Sydney Carton in A Tale of Two Cities and Edward Rutledge in 1776 at CenterPoint Legacy Theatre, Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum for the U of U Theatre Department, Jaime in The Last Five Years, and Sir Harry in Once Upon a Mattress for Salt Lake Shakespeare. He is in his final year of a double major BFA in Theatre and Vocal Performance at the University of Utah. “Thank you Amanda, Evie, and Miles. Thank you for bringing the spirit of Christmas in my life.”

Amelia Moore

Amelia was most recently seen on the HCT stage as Morticia Addams in The Addams Family and Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda as well as in The Scarlet Pimpernel and Elton John & Tim Rice’s AIDA.  She has also been seen as Dorcus in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Alabama Lamb in Big Fish, and as Belle/Laundress in our A Christmas Carol. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theater from Weber State University and works as a dance teacher at CenterPoint Academy; she is also a vocal instructor.  “Thanks to John, Anne, Mark and Sally for this wonderful opportunity! This show is dedicated to my Grandpa Dale who still is my number one fan.”

Toby Worland

Tiny Tim Cratchit/Young Boy Scrooge

Toby is excited to return to the HCT stage having recently been seen in Freaky Friday (Fletcher) and My Son Pinocchio (Pinocchio). Toby's acting career began with an IHC commercial at only 10 days old. A year later, he was cast in his first film Darling Companion alongside Diane Keaton. Toby is a member of the HCT and Rise Up Children's choir. Toby is thrilled this time to share the stage with his mother Erin. "To my family, especially my twin brother and partner in crime, Max, I love you guys!"

Olivia Dietlein

Carol Girl/Little Fan/Harriet Cratchit/Want

Audiences may recognize Olivia from her starring role as Lee Lee in our 2017 production of A Bundle of Trouble. She also appeared as Hortensia in Matilda and Little Fan for the last two seasons of A Christmas Carol. This 1st grader works hard doing ballet, reading, playing games with her family and helping Mom and Dad out however she can. “I’m excited I get to help tell this awesome story.”

Cabrielle Andersen

Leticia Fezziwig/Martha Cratchit

Making her HCT debut! Cabrielle is thrilled to be on the Jewel Box Stage. Favorite stage credits include: Disney’s Beauty and The Beast (Belle), Lucky Stiff (Rita La Porta), Les Misérables (Eponine). Cabrielle has studied at UVU and BYU where she earned her Associates Degree in Science and currently works as a Project Manager in Engineering at backcountry.com. “My dear husband, Tyler. I love you and thank you for your patience, support, and encouragement. You are my reason to be happy each Christmas!”

Cairo is excited to return to the Hale Centre Theatre stage. HCT Credits include: NEWSIES (Les), A Christmas Carol (Christmas Past), To Kill A Mockingbird (Dill), Mary Poppins (Michael Banks), and Les Misérables (Gavroche) - he also played this role at HCTO. Other credits include: Love Actually Live (Sam), Fly More Than You Fall (Flynn), and Tarzan (Young Tarzan) at Tuacahn. “I love you, Mom!”

Emily Hawkes

Making her HCT debut! Emily comes to us with an extensive resume. Stage credits include: Draper Arts-Sister Act (Mother Superior); Alpine Community Theatre-Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator); LDS Conference Center-Savior of the World (Mary, Mother of James), and Carmina Burana with Ballet West. Emily holds a Bachelor’s in Choral Education from BYU and teaches private piano and voice lessons. She also musical directs shows for Neal Johnson at American Fork High School. “Thanks to my husband and kids for supporting this passion of mine!”

Mindi Hansen

Mindi was most recently seen in our production of Phantom. Other credits include A Christmas Carol (HCT), Tanya in Mamma Mia (Utah Actors Association), The Little Mermaid (Herriman Arts Council), and Les Misérables (The Ziegfeld Theatre). Mindi received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Utah. She is an attorney and mediator with Hanks & Peterson and focuses her practice on estate planning and family law. “May we honor Christmas in our hearts and try to keep it all the year!”

Making her HCT Debut! Previous credits for Emily include: On Pitch Performing Arts-Music Director for Into the Woods and Mamma Mia; The Empress-The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Edwin Drood); West Valley Arts Council-Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (The Baroness). Emily holds her BA in Choral Music Education from The University of Utah. She recently started her 8th year of teaching choir at Eisenhower Jr. High where she also taught theatre for her first 4 years. “I am so thankful for the unending support of my husband and for our 1-year-old, Dash, who lights up my world.”

Erin Camp Worland

Making her HCT debut! Credits include: The Wizard of Oz, 1940's Radio Hour, and Utah! At Tuacahn. Other favorite credits include: Into the Woods (The Witch), Bye Bye Birdie (Rosie), The Secret Garden (Martha), and Saturday's Warrior (Julie). She also has several TV/film credits and has performed vocally with artists such as Michael McLean and Roger Hoffman. Erin attended Dixie College on a Theatre Arts Scholarship before becoming a mother to 5 children, one of which is Tiny Tim. She's taught musical theatre and private voice for many years. She dedicates this performance to her son Collin (10/14/98-11/2/11)."

Michael recently appeared as Lurch in The Addams Family. Other HCT credits include Snyder in NEWSIES, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and The Wizard of Oz. He is also a familiar face at Hale Centre Theatre Orem, having performed in Tarzan and A Christmas Carol as a member of the ensemble. “I would like to thank my wife, Lauren, for her continual support and I hope you enjoy the show!”

Making his HCT debut! Matt is thrilled to be joining the HCT Family. Favorite stage credits include: Carousel, Urinetown, Oklahoma!, Annie, 9 to 5: The Musical, and The Fantasticks. Matt attended The Boston Conservatory and graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre.

Katie Frandsen


Katie is thrilled to be joining HCT for another year of A Christmas Carol. In addition to Hale Centre Theatre, she has performed with CenterPoint Legacy Theatre, The Grand, as well as other venues across the state. Favorite credits include: AIDA (Amneris), Shrek the Musical (Fiona), Singin’ in the Rain (Lina Lamont), and Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins). Katie graduated from The University of Utah with a BM in Violin Performance and teaches private violin at the studio she runs. “Loves to the hubby and attachments!”
