Mark Pulham
  Since it’s opening, Mark has spent most of his time doing shows at Hale Center Theatre Orem--even performing with founders Ruth and Nathan Hale in the early years. He’s enjoyed a long list of great characters from Bob Cratchit to Professor Higgins and many in between. As he’s aged, so have the parts. He’s moved to playing fathers in such shows as The Diary of Anne Frank, Kiss and Tell, and most recently, Dear Ruth. He feels lucky to now be Pinocchio’s father. As a puppeteer, himself, this role holds a special place in his heart. A graduate in education from BYU, Mark taught 4th grade for 30 years and has since retired. He’s also worked as a children’s librarian at the Orem Public Library for 40 years. “If you wish long enough upon a star…the odds are, some dreams should come true! And remember: Work will work, when wishy washy wishing won’t!”

Coleman Higbee
  Coleman is super excited to be making his debut at HCT with such a fun character. He previously performed in Peter Pan, Jr. at CYT and Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory at OJHS. He also enjoys film and voice over work and can currently be seen as a playground bully on commercials for The Advocates. This soon-to-be 4th grader trains at Utah COPA in American Fork and participates in the ALL program at school; he plays the violin, and loves science, reading, making movies, playing outside, and travelling. His other love is soccer, and he has been playing on a club team for several years. He’s the youngest in a theater-loving family and is excited to do a show with his big sister, Abby. Cole would like to thank his family for everything they do for him!

Raina Larkin Thorne

  Raina was most recently seen as Fred’s Wife/Poor Wife and Madame de la Grande Bouche in HCT’s productions of A Christmas Carol and Beauty and the Beast. She lists some favorite roles as Page in Rigoletto, 2nd Novice in Suor Angelica (Utah Opera), Sylvanie in The Merry Widow, Countess Stasi in The Gypsy Princess, Diana Devereaux in Of Thee I Sing, Leona in La Belle Helene, Guenevere in Camelot, Karen O’Kane in Jubilee, Lalume in Kismet, Electra in Gypsy (Ohio Light Opera), Jo March in Little Women, Sister Martha in Dialogues des Carmélites, Mrs. Fiorentino in Street Scene (U of U Lyric Opera), Jo Ann in Godspell  (U of U Theatre), Lily in The Secret Garden  (The Grand Theatre), Mrs. Nordstrom in A LittleNight Music (Utah Repertory Theatre), Nerone in L’incoronazione di Poppea (La Musica Lirica), Alien Queen in Aliens: A Puppet Musical, and Narrator of Annabel Lee in ContemPOErary (Meat and Potato Theatre). Raina has a Master of Music and Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the U of U, and works as a singer, actress, pet sitter and stay-at-home Mom.

McKelle Shaw
Rosa / Senora Giovanni
McKelle was last seen on the HCT stage in our 2017 season’s A Bundle of Trouble and Big River.  She has been seen at many local theaters including:  Sundance Summer Theater, HCTO, Utah Valley University, SCERA Center for the Arts and various arts councils.  She lists as some her favorite roles as Jo March in Little Women, The Witch in Into the Woods, Erma in Anything Goes, Ilona in She Loves Me and Kitty in The Drowsy Chaperone. Mckelle is currently a junior at UVU working towards her BFA in Theater Performance with an emphasis in Musical Theater.  She currently works for the SCERA Center for the Arts, as one of their youth theater teachers.  “Thank you Sarah, Brodee, Aubrey and Grandpa, for helping me be more than I am.  I love you guys.”

Jamie Traxler
Jamie was recently seen on the HCT stage as Woman 4 in Tuck Everlasting. Other HCT credits include Ensemble in Aida, and Silly Girl in Beauty and The Beast. She lists as some of her favorite roles as Rumpleteazer in Cats at the U of U, Guest Artist in Jerry Herman Legacy Concert with the Utah Symphony, Ensemble in Hello, Dolly! at the U of U, Tasha/Dance Captain in Young Frankenstein at The Grand Theatre, and Gemini in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at the U of U. Abigail Higbee
  Abigail is excited to be making her HCT debut with her little brother, Coleman. She has been seen as Bet in Oliver! at Pioneer Theatre Company, as Ti Moune in Once on this Island, as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, and in Crazy for You at Lincoln Center directed by Tony winner Susan Stroman and starring Laura Osnes and Tony Yazbeck.  She also did the Broadway Classics Concert in NYC with Manhattan Concert Productions at Carnegie Hall. Additional roles:  The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Star-to-Be in Annie, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and a dancer in Footloose. Abby was a member of One Voice Children's Choir, where she had the opportunity to be a featured soloist on a music video filmed on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France.  She has been accepted into an advanced musical theater training program, Open Jar Institute, in NYC this July. She is about to be a senior at Lone Peak High School and has been training in voice, dance, and acting at Utah COPS in American Fork for eight years.  “Big thank you to my friends and family for their love and support!”

Mikayla Bounous

New to our space, but not to Hale, Mikayla was recently seen in Tarzan and Catch Me if You Can at Hale Center Theater Orem. She is a Billing Specialist for BambooHR. “A huge thank you to my hubby, James, for all his love and support in everything I do. He is my favorite!”

David K. Martin
  David is a very familiar face to the HCT crowd, having been seen as Hugh in The Pirates of Penzance, Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone, Kiwi in The Hasty Heart, Naphtali in Joseph…Dreamcoat, Psychiatrist in No Time For Sergeants, Leopard/ Clayton in Tarzan, Officer O’Hara in Arsenic and Old Lace, Kodaly in She Loves Me, Chicago in Is He Dead?, Hospital/Subway Ghost in Ghost: The Musical, Sebastian in The Little Mermaid, Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol, and most recently as Angus Tuck in Tuck Everlasting. David has also performed at Gardner Village in Witchapalooza and for the Utah Children’s Theater, Utah Repertory Theater, Rodger’s Memorial Theatre, Desert Star Playhouse, Kingsbury Hall, Capitol Theater, and Riverton Arts Council. Along with being a stay-at- home dad, David uses his Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Utah as the Founder and CEO of BeatALS Benefit, a company working with nonprofit organizations to fight ALS with rock and roll music. “Endless love and gratitude to my amazing wife and wonderful children!”

  Although she is new to HCT, Abigail has performed in Peter Pan (Tiger Lily), Singing in the Rain, and The Nutcracker. This soon-to-be sophomore at Liahona Academy is studying ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and contemporary dance. “Sing, dance, and laugh your way through life!”

Emily Tessa Ebert

  Emily is ‘stoked’ to be returning to the HCT stage after her debut earlier this year in The Music Man.  She previously performed in over 35 countries with Feld Entertainment’s DisneyLive! Productions for six years. She lists some favorite roles as Can-Can Dancer in La Rondine with The Utah Opera,  Rissian Trepak in The Nutcracker with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, and Tiger Lily in Peter Pan with The Sandy Arts Guild. She is a graduate of the University of Utah with a BFA in Ballet and is working on making performing her profession again. Whether on stage, film, or camera-dancing, acting, modeling or playing cello-Emily lives to perform. “Hey Mom and Dad, I guess paying for and driving me to all those lessons pail off!” :)

Bridget Maxwell

Another newcomer to HCT, Bridget appeared as Veruca Salt in Willy Wonka Jr. and Mrs. Mayor in Seussical at Centerpoint Academy.  This 6th grader studies ballet at Ballet West Academy and musical theatre at Centerpoint Academy. “I am so excited to have this opportunity for my first show at Hale Centre Theatre. I’d like to thank my Centerpoint family for getting me here.”

Alyssa Buckner

  This is Alyssa’s 10th show at HCT! Some of her favorite roles include Scout in To Kill a Mockingbird, Sarah in The Heart of Robin Hood, and The Ghost of Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol. This soon to be 10th grader lists other favorites as Annie in Annie at Kensington Theatre and Amaryllis in The Music Man at Pioneer Theatre Company. “I’m so excited to be in this fantastic show!! Thanks to my wonderful family and of course to the amazing people who work at Hale Centre Theatre for another incredible opportunity!”

Cambria Iris Hasler

  Although new to HCT, this 5th grader has had the opportunity to play Bielke in Fiddler on the Roof, Alice/Dancer in Alice in Wonderland, and Actress in A Celebration of Christ starring David Archuletta at the Capitol Theatre. “Thank you Mom, Dad, Mindy Robbins, family, and friends for believing in me. I love you guys!”

Elise Claire Jones

  Another HCT newcomer, Elise recently played Jane Banks in Mary Poppins at BYU, Alice in Alice in Wonderland Jr. at HCT Orem, and Amy March in the film Little Women (2018). She’ll be attending Maple Mountain High School in the fall. “Life’s a happy song if there’s someone by my side to sing along!”

Everett Duce

  This last year has been a busy one for this 5th grader. Everett was Charlie Bradley in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at Centerpoint Legacy Theatre, the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz at his school, and most recently played Charlie Bucket in Willy Wonka at Centerpoint Academy. It has been his dream to perform in the new Hale Centre Theatre.

Jack Ralls

  This HCT newcomer recently played Joseph at his elementary school. This soon-to-be 6th grader’s only source of income is bathing his Grandma’s dog and doing yard work for Grandpa. “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.”

Luke Elzey
Boy 3
  While My Son Pinocchio marks Luke’s first show with HCT, he has had a lot of experience performing  in Youth productions at HCTO:  The Sound of Music (Friedrich von Trapp), A Christmas Carol  (Dick Wilkins),  The Lion King (Zebra), and Alice in Wonderland (Ensemble). Additional shows include: Cinderella Jr. (The Herald) for COPA, Legally Blonde Jr. (Grand Master Chad) for Mountain Ridge Jr. High, Peter Pan (Peter Pan) at Deerfield Elementary, and Joseph…Dreamcoat (Children’s Choir) at Lone Peak High School.  This 7th grader is “excited to be making his HCT debut with this amazing show and cast. Thanks to Dave, Brittany, Kelly, and my family for all of their support!”

Emerson Earnshaw
Boy 4 / Junior
  Even though he’s a newcomer to HCT, Emerson’s no newcomer to My Son Pinocchio; he played the Ringleader on HCT Orem’s junior version. Other roles include: Ensemble in The Music Man at Sundance Summer Theater, Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast and the Genie in Aladdin Jr. at Mountain Ridge Jr. High, and a Stagehand in Singing’ in the Rain Jr. at HCTO.  He’s a sophomore at Lone Peak High School. “Shoutout to Mom, Dad, and the gang. Love you forever!”

Alec Powell
Man 1 / Ringleader
  Alec was most recently seen on the HCT stage in To Kill a Mockingbird as Tom Robinson, as TJ in Sister Act, and in Big River in the Slave Chorus. Other recent performances: Sebastian (The Little Mermaid) HCTO, Horton (Seussical), Lehi Arts CouncilKing (Cinderella) at Pioneer Arts Repertory Company, Big Jule (Guys and Dolls) on the HCTO stage, and Mereb (Aida) at the SCERA.  Alec recently graduated with his BS in Music Education from UVU and works as a local choir teacher.  Alec is super excited to be working with such a talented cast and phenomenal directorial crew.  “I’d like to thank my family for being incredibly supportive and as always, ‘This one’s for you, Rhonda!’”

Kelly Griffiths

Kelly debuted at HCT as Judah in last season’s Joseph…Dreamcoat.  Recent credits:  Gomez Addams in The Addams Family and Nicely Nicely in Guys and Dolls-- both at CenterPoint Legacy Theatre and Jinx in Forever Plaid.  Kelly holds a Bachelor’s of Accounting from the U of U and is the CFO of Harrington & Company, a building material supplier in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming.  “So honored to be on the HCT stage.  Thanks to my Laura for supporting my addiction of performing.”
