Mark Pulham
Geppetto
  Since it’s opening, Mark has spent most of his time doing shows at Hale Center Theatre Orem--even performing with founders Ruth and Nathan Hale in the early years. He’s enjoyed a long list of great characters from Bob Cratchit to Professor Higgins and many in between. As he’s aged, so have the parts. He’s moved to playing fathers in such shows as The Diary of Anne Frank, Kiss and Tell, and most recently, Dear Ruth. He feels lucky to now be Pinocchio’s father. As a puppeteer, himself, this role holds a special place in his heart. A graduate in education from BYU, Mark taught 4th grade for 30 years and has since retired. He’s also worked as a children’s librarian at the Orem Public Library for 40 years. “If you wish long enough upon a star…the odds are, some dreams should come true! And remember: Work will work, when wishy washy wishing won’t!”
     

Toby Worland
Pinocchio
  Toby’s acting career began with an IHC commercial when he was just 10 days old. His film credits include Darling Companion and Mosaic. He is an award-winning hip hop dancer and tumbler. He is going into 3rd grade this fall and is excited to be making his debut at HCT. He sends a shout out to his awesome family, especially his twin brother, Max.  Toby dedicates this performance to his big brother Collin (1998-2011).
     

Raina Larkin Thorne
Blue Fairy
  Raina was most recently seen as Fred’s Wife/Poor Wife and Madame de la Grande Bouche in HCT’s productions of A Christmas Carol and Beauty and the Beast. She lists some favorite roles as Page in Rigoletto, 2nd Novice in Suor Angelica (Utah Opera), Sylvanie in The Merry Widow, Countess Stasi in The Gypsy Princess, Diana Devereaux in Of Thee I Sing, Leona in La Belle Helene, Guenevere in Camelot, Karen O’Kane in Jubilee, Lalume in Kismet, Electra in Gypsy (Ohio Light Opera), Jo March in Little Women, Sister Martha in Dialogues des Carmélites, Mrs. Fiorentino in Street Scene (U of U Lyric Opera), Jo Ann in Godspell  (U of U Theatre), Lily in The Secret Garden  (The Grand Theatre), Mrs. Nordstrom in A LittleNight Music (Utah Repertory Theatre), Nerone in L’incoronazione di Poppea (La Musica Lirica), Alien Queen in Aliens: A Puppet Musical, and Narrator of Annabel Lee in ContemPOErary (Meat and Potato Theatre). Raina has a Master of Music and Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the U of U, and works as a singer, actress, pet sitter and stay-at-home Mom.
     

Jaymie Lambson

Rosa / Senora Giovanni
  Jaymie was last seen at HCT as Woman 4 in The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Martha in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Other favorite roles include Minnie Fay in Hello, Dolly! (HCTO), Lina Lamont in Singin’ in the Rain (Playmill Theatre) and Cinderella in Cinderella (Scera Shell). She recently graduated from BYU with a BFA in Music Dance Theatre, and works as a freelance choreographer for local high schools. “Be the magic.”
     

Brittany Belnap
Viola
  Another newcomer to the HCT stage, Brittany lists some of her favorite roles as Johanna in Sweeney Todd, Little Sally in Urinetown, Pilar in Legally Blonde, and Gabrielle in Cinderella. This recent graduate from Riverton High School plans to attend UVU in the fall. When she’s not performing, she teaches tumbling at Project Dance. “Enjoy the journey of life and not just the end game.” Benedict Cumberbatch
     

Emma Tolman
Arancia
  Emma recently graduated from Riverton High school where she was a part of their MDT program. While at Riverton, she was Marian Paroo in The Music Man, Winifred Banks in Mary Poppins, and Niki Harris in Curtains. Other roles include Dorothy Gale in The Wizard of Oz, Rosemary Pilkington in How to Succeed in Business…, and Kathy Selden in Singing in the Rain for Bluffdale Arts Comunnity Theatre. She also lists Laurey Williams in Oklahoma!  for Desert Star Youth Theatre and Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof  for Riverton Arts Council as favorites. She recently finished her freshman year at BYU where she’s pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education with a Theatre Studies minor. She works as a nanny (aka princess watching) to two adorable little girls named Annabelle and Addy. “Have Courage and Be Kind!” Cinderella
     

Ariana Bagley

  Ariana has performed for many venues, as well as having done film work. She most recently played the title character in Riverton High School’s production of Cinderella. Other favorite roles include Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Jr. (Riverton Community), Teen Fiona in Shrek (Murray Community), July in Annie (PTC), and a number of different roles in A Christmas Carol (HCT) over the last 7 years (Seen last year as Letitia Fezziwig/Martha Cratchit.) Some favorite film projects include Once I Was a BeehiveScott & Kassie’s Christmas, Legend of the Lost Gold, and A Christmas Dress for Ellen. Ariana was also Schuyler Sister Angelica in a Hamlilton music video for the Working With Lemons YouTube channel. “What’s comin’ will come, and we’ll meet it when it does.”
     

David K. Martin

  David is a very familiar face to the HCT crowd, having been seen as Hugh in The Pirates of Penzance, Aldolpho in The Drowsy Chaperone, Kiwi in The Hasty Heart, Naphtali in Joseph…Dreamcoat, Psychiatrist in No Time For Sergeants, Leopard/ Clayton in Tarzan, Officer O’Hara in Arsenic and Old Lace, Kodaly in She Loves Me, Chicago in Is He Dead?, Hospital/Subway Ghost in Ghost: The Musical, Sebastian in The Little Mermaid, Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol, and most recently as Angus Tuck in Tuck Everlasting. David has also performed at Gardner Village in Witchapalooza and for the Utah Children’s Theater, Utah Repertory Theater, Rodger’s Memorial Theatre, Desert Star Playhouse, Kingsbury Hall, Capitol Theater, and Riverton Arts Council. Along with being a stay-at- home dad, David uses his Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Utah as the Founder and CEO of BeatALS Benefit, a company working with nonprofit organizations to fight ALS with rock and roll music. “Endless love and gratitude to my amazing wife and wonderful children!”
     

Abigail Budge

  Although she is new to HCT, Abigail has performed in Peter Pan (Tiger Lily), Singing in the Rain, and The Nutcracker. This soon-to-be sophomore at Liahona Academy is studying ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and contemporary dance. “Sing, dance, and laugh your way through life!”
     

Emily Tessa Ebert

  Emily is ‘stoked’ to be returning to the HCT stage after her debut earlier this year in The Music Man.  She previously performed in over 35 countries with Feld Entertainment’s DisneyLive! Productions for six years. She lists some favorite roles as Can-Can Dancer in La Rondine with The Utah Opera,  Rissian Trepak in The Nutcracker with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, and Tiger Lily in Peter Pan with The Sandy Arts Guild. She is a graduate of the University of Utah with a BFA in Ballet and is working on making performing her profession again. Whether on stage, film, or camera-dancing, acting, modeling or playing cello-Emily lives to perform. “Hey Mom and Dad, I guess paying for and driving me to all those lessons pail off!” :)
     

Mila Belle Howells

  Mila is thrilled to be part of the cast, crew, and Theatre. Even though this is her first appearance at HCT, this 5th grader is no stranger to theatre. Previous roles include Freddy Rogers in Will Rogers Follies and Mila in It happened One Christmas at Pioneer Theatre Company, Jane Banks in Mary Poppins at The Utah Shakespeare Festival, Young Fiona in Shrek the Musical for The Cottonwood Heights Arts Council, Hedgehog/Bee in Winnie the Pooh at The Utah Children’s Theatre, and as part of the Ensembles for Great American Tall Tales and Jabberwocky for Youth Theatre at The University of Utah. “Thank you to the great people at HCT for giving me this opportunity.”
     

Ava Hoekstra

  Last year’s The Heart of Robin Hood marked Ava’s first appearance on the HCT stage.  She lists as some of her favorite roles:  Small Alison in Fun Home at Salt Lake Acting Company, as well as Mary Rogers in  Will Rogers Follies, Ensemble in Oliver!, Ensemble in It Happened One Christmas, and Shprintze in Fiddler on the Roof – all at Pioneer Theatre Company.  Ava has also performed in youth shows at Centrepointe Legacy Theatre and The Egyptian Theatre.  She will be heading into the 8th grade this fall. “Thanks HCT for this great experience and to my family for all their support!”
     

Lyla Oakeson

  Lyla is thrilled to appear in her first production at HCT! She is a 3rd grader in the French Immersion Program at her school. She studies dance at Barlow Arts Conservatory and musical theatre at Utah COPA, where she recently played the role of Nibs in Peter Pan. She is a proud member of One Voice Children’s Choir and toured with them to France this past summer.
     

Grace Oborn
Girl 4
  Grace is thrilled to be making her HCT debut. She has been a frequent performer at Utah COPA Youth Theatre at the Covey Center for the Arts appearing in Annie, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Seussical, and Fiddler on the Roof Jr. She performed in school productions of Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan, and as a dancer in A Celebration of Christ starring David Archuletta at the Capitol Theatre. This soon-to-be 7th grader studies dance, voice, and acting at Utah Conservatory of Performing Arts.  In addition to performing, she loves to write stories, draw, rollerblade, and play the piano. A few years ago, Grace and a friend founded Lily Grace Cupcakes; they enjoy coming up with new creations and selling them to friends and family (in their spare time). “Love to my supportive family, friends, and everyone at Utah COPA. Dream Big!”
     

Will Smith

  Some of Will’s favorite roles are:  Chip in Beauty & the Beast,  Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol,  Thor Waldgrave in The Nerd and Everett in A Bundle of Trouble – all at HCT; Village Child in Cinderella at Olympus High School and Children’s Chorus/Skinny Cow in  Joseph…Dreamcoat for Riverton Arts Council.  He loves reading, science, nature, and theatre. “Thanks to everyone who makes this such a fun place to play. I love it when I get to ‘Go to Hale!’”
     

Cooper Johnson
Boy 2
  This young actor has a lot of acting experience.  On stage: Tiny Tim and Frederick in A Christmas Carol (HCT), Dill Harris in To Kill a Mockingbird (HCT), Young Tarzan in Tarzan and Gavroche in Les Misérables (HCTO), Michael in Peter Pan  and Chip in Beauty and the Beast (Herriman Arts),  and Winthrop in The Music Man (Draper Arts); Film:  Come Unto Me, Saturday’s Warrior, The Christmas ProjectSinging With Angels, The Miracle Maker, My Broken Horse Christmas and Switched for Christmas for Hallmark.  “I love HCT and am so grateful to be back to perform again.”
     

Sterling Lund
Boy 3
  Sterling is thrilled to make his HCT debut as part of the cast of My Son Pinocchio. He will be entering the 8th grade this fall. This straight-A student participates in trampoline and tumbling in his spare time. He loves singing, playing the piano, and his dog, Chowder.
     

Asher Reynolds
Boy 4 / Junior
  Asher is beyond excited for his HCT debut! Some of his favorite roles include Oliver in Oliver!, Michael Banks in Mary Poppins, Sebastian in Little Mermaid Jr., and Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast Jr.—all with ACT. He was also in the Ensemble of HCT Orem’s A Christmas Carol youth edition. He is a member of One Voice Children’s Choir and recently toured France with the choir for the 73rd D-Day commemoration. He also loved having a small role in the newly-released film In Emma’s Footsteps. When he’s not singing his way through life, this incoming 7th grader loves to play tennis, be with friends, and travel the world with his family. “Thank you to HCT for giving me this opportunity to Rise Up!”
     

Geoff Beckstrand
Man 1 / Ringleader
  Having just finished performing in HCT’s production of Tuck Everlasting, Geoff has also been seen in numerous productions across the state, including playing Javert in Les Misérables and  the title role in Pippin at the Kensington Theatre Company, as well as The Artful Dodger in Oliver! and Dick Wilkins in A Christmas Carol here at Hale Centre Theatre. “Indifference to evil is worse than evil itself.” – Abraham Joshua Heschel
     

Jeffrey Whitlock
Man 2 / Buonragazzo / Town Father
  Jeffrey was most recently seen on the HCT stage as Axel Hammond in The Nerd.  Other favorite roles on the HCT stage are Fagin’ in Oliver!, Smee in Peter and the Starcatcher, and Lachlen in The Hasty Heart.  Jeffrey has also performed at Jackson Hole Playhouse and HCTO.  Jeffrey has a BA in Film from the U of U and works in email marketing.
