  Mitch lists as some of his favorite roles:  ‘Yank’ The Hasty Heart, ‘Noah’ The Rainmaker, ‘Richard Hannay’ The 39 Steps and ‘Clive’ See How They Run, all at HCT.  He also has many national and local credits in film, television and radio.  Mitch graduated from BYU with a BA in International Relations.  “I feel especially fortunate to be playing the iconic Atticus Finch in this amazing theatre.”

  This 8th grader has been on the HCT stage many times – ‘Little Girl’ Ragtime, ‘Little Cossette’ Les Misérables, ‘Ghost of Christmas Past’ A Christmas Carol and ‘Little Fan’ A Christmas Carol.  Alyssa has also been seen in Annie ‘Annie’ for Kensington Theatre Company, The Music Man ‘ Amaryllis’ for Pioneer Theatre Company and Jane Eyre ‘Adele’ for HCTO.  “Thanks to my family, friends, and especially to HCT for another amazing opportunity!”

  This 7th grader is no newcomer to the stage, but IS a newcomer to the HCT stage.  Some of Matthew’s favorite roles are:  ‘Pugsley’ The Addams Family at CenterPoint Legacy Theater, ‘Ainsley’ Appropriate at Good Company Theater and ‘Ensemble’ It Happened One Christmas at Pioneer Theater Company. “Thank you to all of my amazing family for the support, especially my fantastic Mom for driving me all this way!”

  This young actor has a lot of acting experience.  On stage:  ‘Tiny Tim’ & ‘Frederick’ A Christmas Carol (HCT), ‘Gavroche’ Les Misérables (HCTO), ‘Michael’ Peter Pan & ‘Chip’ in Beauty and the Beast (Herriman Arts), ‘Winthrop’ The Music Man (Draper Arts) and ‘LeFou’ Beauty and the Beast, Jr. (Sandy Arts); Film:  ‘Samuel’ Come Unto Me, ‘Young Jimmy Flinders’ Saturday’s Warrior, ‘John Buckley’ The Christmas Project, ‘Young Brad’ Singing With Angels and ‘Oliver’ The Miracle Maker.  “I love HCT and am so grateful to be back to perform again.”

Rita Martin
  Rita was last seen on the HCT stage as ‘Viney’ in The Miracle Worker.  Other theater pursuits have been A Raisin in the Sun, Flyin West, Guess Who Is Coming to Dinner and The Delaney Sisters: The First One Hundred Years.  Rita is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Organization Leadership from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, AZ.  “Jeremiah 29:11:  For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, to give you a future and a hope.  Maya Angelou:  We may encounter many defeats, but we must not be defeated.”

  Betsy was most recently on the HCT stage as ‘Mother Superior’ in last seasons, Sister Act, as well as ‘Miriam Goldman’ in Beau Jest. Other roles:  ‘Sister Mary Amnesia’- Nunsense I & II – Salt Lake Acting Company; ‘Mother Superior’- Nunsense, ‘Helen Potts’- Picnic – both at The Grand Theatre and ‘Marcus Andronicus’- Titus Andronicus – Pinnacle Acting Company.  Betsy has a BFA in Modern Dance-Musical Theater Emphasis from the University of Utah and is an Administrative Assistant for ALSCO, Inc.  “I’m thrilled to be back at HCT.  I’ve found a new home.  Deepest gratitude for my supportive husband.”

Madison Ford

  Madison is another newcomer to the HCT stage.  Madison has been seen on stage at The Neal Simon Festival and The Utah Shakespeare Festival.  Madison graduated last year from SUU with a BFA in Classical Acting and is currently an Arts Integration Specialist at Walden School of Liberal Arts.  “Thank you Mom and Dad for your constant love and support.”

Gayle Hayes

  Gayle is no stranger on the HCT stage, having been in our A Christmas Carol for the past 11 years, as well as, ‘Widow Douglas/Aunt Sally’ Big River and ‘Miss Maudie’ To Kill A Mockingbird.  Gayle has a Presidential Scholarship in musical theatre from the U of U, and currently is a controller at Caregiver Support Network.  “Love your neighbor….”

  Justin’s favorite roles have been ‘Norman McDonald’ in Cash on Delivery! and ‘Mortimer Brewster’ in Arsenic and Old Lace at HCT, ‘Tilden’ in Buried Child at Silver Summit Theatre Company, ‘Marc’ in Art and ‘Charles Condomine’ in Blithe Spirit with Pinnacle Acting Company. Other HCT roles have been ‘Rev. David Lee’ in The Foreigner and ‘Squire Trelawney’ in Treasure Island.  Justin has also performed in Winter at SLAC.  “This is my last season with HCT.  Thanks to all who have supported me over the years, and special thanks to all the great people I’ve had the opportunity to work with at this theatre.  Enjoy the show!”

  Ric was last seen on the HCT stage as ‘Maurice’ in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.  Other favorite roles:  ‘Abe’ in Beau Jest (HCT), ‘Jacob / Potiphar’ in HCT Orem’s Joseph … Dreamcoat, ‘Henry Higgins’ in My Fair Lady, ‘Fred / Petruchio’ in Kiss Me Kate, ‘Curly / Jud’ in Oklahoma! and ‘James’ in Shenandoah. When not on stage, Ric is a ski instructor and enjoys road cycling, river rafting, scuba diving and ocean kayaking. “I am thrilled to be able to tell this classic story that has as much meaning today, as it did when it was written, with so many of my dear friends in the cast.  Thanks to John, Mark, Sally and Tammy for entrusting me with this opportunity.  My thanks to my loving and supportive wife, who encourages me every step of the way.”

  Sean was previously on the HCT stage in Big River, Ragtime and 9 to 5 the Musical, The Hasty Heart, The Wedding Singer, and Fiddler on the Roof. He has performed locally at the Egyptian Theatre, The Grand Theatre, Rodgers Memorial Theatre, Sandy Arts Guild, and Salt Lake Acting Company. His favorite roles have been ‘Willie Johnson’ in Miss Ever’s Boys, ‘Papa Ge’ in Once on this Island, and ‘Belize’ in Angels in America. Sean has also performed in The Addams Family at Theatre Harrisburg. Sean holds a BA from Pennsylvania State University and is currently the Executive Secretary at the School of Dance at the U of U, and also works part-time as a Customer Service Representative at HCT.  “Sean would like to dedicate this show to his ‘Granny’, the first Jean Louise he ever knew.  Enjoy the show!”

  Collette is new to the HCT stage, but is no stranger to the stage, having been seen as ‘Sally’ in HCTO’s Cash On Delivery!, in BYU Productions, ‘Lina Szczepanowska’ in Alliance, ‘Grace’ in Dogville, and ‘Mopsa’ in Winter’s Tale.  Collette graduated in April 2016 from BYU with a BFA in Acting.  “Thankful for the support of loved ones, and for opportunities to tell stories that really matter, like this one.  Enjoy.”

  Josh was most recently seen on the HCT stage in his 10th year in A Christmas Carol playing the role of ‘Bob Cratchit’.   Josh has been seen on the HCT stage in ‘Bill Slank/Hawking Clam’ Peter and the Starcatcher, ‘Thernardier’ Les Miserables, ‘Kerchak’ Tarzan, ‘Bill Sykes’ Oliver!, ‘Long John Silver’ Treasure Island, ‘Frank Butler’ Annie Get Your Gun, ‘Stryver’ A Tale of Two Cities, ‘Trevor Graydon’ Thoroughly Modern Millie and many many more.  A few of his favorite roles outside of HCT are ‘Elwood P. Dowd’ Harvey, ‘Shrek’ Shrek the Musical, ‘Adam Pontipee’ Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, ‘Zach’ A Chorus Line and ‘Sky Masterson’ Guys and Dolls.  Josh’s film credits include Joseph Smith:  Prophet of the Restoration and National Lampoon’s Bagboy.  Josh has an AA in Theater Arts from Ricks College (now BYUI) and a BA in Acting & Directing from SUU and is currently the Director of Client Relations for SEO.com.  “You can connect with Josh on Twitter at @Jmr_Utah and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/JoshIsAnActor.”

  Daniel was last seen on the HCT stage as ‘Owen Musser’ in The Foreigner and lists as some of his favorite roles:  ‘Lucianus’ & ‘2nd Gravedigger’ in Hamlet, ‘Snug’ in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, both at Santa Cruz Shakespeare; ‘Norman’ in Cash On Delivery! and ‘Fester’ in The Addams Family at HCTO; ‘Prospero’ in The Tempest at The Grassroots Sheakespeare Company.  Daniel is currently studying theater performance at UVU and works for Archive Costumes at Hale Center Theater Orem.  “This above all:  to thine own self be true.”

  Alec was most recently seen on the HCT stage in Big River ‘Slave Chorus’ and as ‘TJ’ in Sister Act.  Other current performances:  ‘King’ CINDERELLA at Pioneer Arts Repertory Company, ‘Big Jule’ GUYS AND DOLLS on the HCTO stage and ‘Mereb’ AIDA at the SCERA.  Alec is currently pursuing his BS in Music Education from UVU and will graduate in the spring of 2017.  Alec currently works at his home studio as a music instructor and composer with his most recent work premiering at the Salt Lake Tabernacle with the Utah Valley University Chamber Choir.  Alec is super excited to be working with such a talented cast and phenomenal directorial crew.  “I’d like to thank my family for being incredibly supportive, and as always, ‘This one’s for you, Rhonda!’”

  Ben lists as some of his favorite roles:  ‘Nick’ in Over the River and Through the Woods, ‘Joel’ in Beau Jest, ‘Smee’ in Peter and the Starcatcher, all for HCT; ‘Mr. Dussel’ in The Diary of Anne Frank, ‘Uncle George’ in Cash On Delivery!, for HCTO.  Other favorite roles are ‘John Adams’ in 1776 and ‘The Baker’ in Into the Woods.  Ben has also performed at The Playmill Theatre, Walt Disney World Resort, has done improv with Comic Frenzy, Comedy Sportz and Laughing Stock.  Ben holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and Speech from BYU-Idaho and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources from Rollins College.  Ben lists as his job by stating he creates happiness by working for The Walt Disney Company.  “This performance is dedicated to Luana, Elliott, Atticus and especially Oliver – our own exceptional mockingbird.  Please take the time to get to know someone on the autism spectrum – you won’t regret it!”

  Lori was last seen on the HCT stage as ‘Ensemble’ in Les Misérables.  She has also performed at CenterPoint Legacy Theater as ‘Grandma’ in The Addams Family, ‘Witch’ Into the Woods and ‘Kate Keller’ in The Miracle Worker.  Lori holds a Bachelor of Arts, Musical Theatre Studies from WSU and is a stay home Mom.  “Those who do not believe in magic will never find it.”
